More than meets the eye!
I watched Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on Wednesday night and I can say that I was very pleased. I felt like a little kid getting their first bike or felt like I was in one of those giddy moments, like it would have been if I was 6 again, watching those fireworks.
I was glued to the screen the entire time, which is how I am on a normal venture to a theater. I couldn't take my eyes off of the film. It had one of those instant action moments the first portion of the movie, which is one thing I like better than the long winded story explanation. I get bored of those too quickly, which is one reason I didn't like the Twilight movie. It was slow.
This, Revenge of the Fallen was not slow. No sir. It had just enough action and humor to keep the mind focused and it had just enough of both that neither outweighed the other. With it being a Michael Bay film, you get the typical action scenes, the explosions and the well-thought out CGI, but it all melted together very well.
There's a handful of new transformers on both sides of the fence and a few that dwell more on the comedic side than anything else, but it works.
I'm not going to post any spoilers because that wouldn't be fair to those of you who haven't seen it yet. If you haven't, consider it.

And speaking of movies, while I was at the theater I browsed around to look at some of the movie posters that were displayed and one of them caught my instant attention.
I've heard about the idea a few years ago and was desperately hoping that the idea was going to become an eventual possibility. It obviously has, now that it's release date has been scheduled for October 16, 2009.
Where the Wild Things Are was one of my favorite books growing up and now I have a chance to see it in theaters. SWEET! I just hope they do it justice, otherwise I'd be extremely disappointed.
It's always so difficult to watch a movie based on one of your favorite books if the entire film is messed up or doesn't even follow the original story line. By the looks of what IMDB.com has to offer in terms of production pictures, it looks decent enough to enjoy in theaters.
The only thing that I have a concern about are the monsters themselves. Are they going to be complete CGI or are they throwing some practical effects in there too? Hmm.
It is written and directed by Spike Jonze, who I hope made a smart move and made this movie worth watching.
------------------
Aside from enjoying a night at the movies, I've had some issues with my neck recently. After doing some investigative research, I came to the conclusion that I had actually pulled a muscle in my neck, on the right side. Ouch. I've been in pain which has consequently made me lose a lot of sleep, in turn making it hard for me to focus during the day. I have been keeping it iced the majority of the day, which has helped with the swelling. It's been better today than on most days. The pain has pretty much subsided for the most part but it's still quite tender and somewhat swollen. It's caused a lot of unwanted headaches too, which I'm not particularly fond of at the moment.
I just hope it doesn't get any worse, then I'm sure I'd have to consider hospitalization. I don't like that idea either.
