KITTY!

Tue Jul 7, 2009, 8:46 PM
Oh my.

My boyfriend called from work on his lunch break, telling me about how some of the employees chased down a kitten through the entire store. A kitten? Yes, a kitten.

So, his idea is to keep it for a few days to see how things go. If it doesn't work, we already have someone in line waiting for the cute kitty.

Anyway, it's been lounging around pretty much the entire time it's been here. As far as I know, it's a girl and she's adorable.

Absolutely and utterly adorable.

Here's to hoping the kitty is in it's permanent home. ;)

Aww, a little kitten! A while ago, we almost had a new kitty. Both of our cats, Lucy and Ricky, were strays who walked up to our doorstep, and a while ago, a third one showed up! We didn't let him in right then, but decided that if he hung around, we would have a new friend for the rest of our stable. We would have called him Fred, of course! He never showed up again, but he seemed awfully clean and healthy for a stray, so he must have had a home somewhere else in the neighborhood.

Aww.

I was surprised by the condition the kitten was in when she was brought to the house. I half expected a tiny, under-fed kitten, too afraid of any human contact what-so-ever, but I was wrong. The kitten warmed up to everyone quickly and also gained complete dominance of the bed.

I'd say it's about a month old, tops. It's been running around Wal-Mart the last few days all alone. I wonder what happened to its mother. I just hope things work out, if not, it already has a warm home waiting for her.

That's so cute!! I wish I could have a little fur ball of my own, but I live where there's a bunch of coyotes so that won't be happening any time soon. My friend, on the other hand, was adopted by a stray that someone abandoned in her neighborhood. He's such a sweet heart and beautiful to boot that we wondered why anyone would turn him loose.

I hope everything turns out well with the kitten and that you get to keep her. Oh, by the way, has she been named yet?

Yes. She has been named! Evi (?), which I took as some sort of shorter version of Evelyn, plus...since my boyfriend found it at Wal-Mart, the first thing I thought of was Wally, but since it's not a girl, I thought of the next possible name.

Mostly because of Wall-E, the Disney movie.
